U12 Boys vs Harleston Magpies Silver Plate

Draw 1-1 Magpies White (Mika scored)

We saw magpies score really quickly and with the boys still getting into the game, their heads were down. They brought the score back with a brilliant reverse stick from the corner of the D by Mika!

Draw 0-0 Dragons Red

It was a tough game, both teams were strong. A very competitive game with no one being able to score.

Won 4-1 Ipswich (Henry scored x1 with 1 assist, Lewis scored x2, Jasper scored x1 with 2 assists, Mika 1 assist)

The boys were brilliant, after the first goal from Henry the boys started enjoying it, started passing brilliantly between each other. Overall, because we had no subs, they quickly figured out where they needed to get their passes in, no selfish play, talking to each other pushing up the pitch to win the goals!

Then we went in to the second pool which was based on scores. We were on 5 points (the same for 3 out of 4 teams) but gone through based on our goal difference.

Won 3-0 East Coast (Henry scored x1 with 1 assist, Lewis scored x1 with 1 assist, Jasper scored x1)

Goal after goal! Good communication, good hit outs, quick to the ball and fast response time. They really had fun in this game, smiling throughout.

Draw 0-0 Dragons Green

This was an extremely fast-paced game. A fantastic game to watch, brilliant standard of hockey and great sportsmanship from all our players right to the end.

A great tournament overall, achieving 2nd place and a happy team!

Well impressed with Lewis. He got back to the middle to support between him and Henry, and he got plenty of opportunities in goal. The highest goal scorer for the day.

George stuck with his player, taking a player out of play the whole time. After telling him not to sweep, but rather stop and pass, he saved a lot of balls going into the D.

Jasper listened and played wide and marked when needed. Assist and scored in goal.

Henry. Calm, collective, everywhere, plenty of stops and tackles to get the ball and driving it into the D. Assist and scored in goal.

Oscar had a brilliant day. He had a smile most of the time, encouraging players and plenty of contact with the ball, intercepting during play. Being open and calling for the ball got him down the line and into the goal plenty of times, passing to players early and reading the game.

Monty saved plenty and kept the scores low. Great saves. 3 Clean sheets and only 2 slipped in through out the tournament. Solid in his position.

Mika. Had an opportunity at goal from the backline edge of D and reverse stick it into the goal. I was surprised, the spectators were surprised, but when the Umpire allowed the goal, we all realised he really just done it. He was all over the place, saved plenty of balls and passed the ball early to others to go and score.
